Writer and journalist Adam Hart tells the story of a secret mission, a sole survivor and a great escape.  In an inspiring account of courage and risk, Adam talks with historian Jackson van Uden about retracing his great-grandfather’s journey through Nazi-occupied France in 1943. Squadron Leader Frank Griffiths was the only survivor of a mission to deliver supplies across enemy lines.  His escape involved a perilous 1,400 mile journey across Europe, only possible because of the bravery of local people who risked their lives to help.  Adam explains how he met the descendants of the people involved and discovered the significance of a Frenchwoman’s chimney, an attic over a brothel and a daunting trek over the Pyrenees.
